About

I’m Alaric Thompson II, an Art Director and creative strategist focused on building scalable brand systems through editorial storytelling and integrated campaign architecture. My work bridges concept, design, motion, and production, translating strategic positioning into cohesive visual ecosystems.

Creative Direction as Architecture

I approach art direction as system design.

Every campaign must scale. Every visual decision must reinforce narrative clarity. Every format must serve strategic intent. Rather than creating isolated assets, I build structured visual frameworks that align brand voice, typography, motion, and composition into unified storytelling systems adaptable across platforms.

Experience & Leadership

As the founder of Alaric’s View, I lead concept development, creative direction, and end-to-end production across editorial platforms, brand campaigns, and speculative innovation projects. My work spans photography, layout systems, motion integration, and cross-medium narrative sequencing. This cross-disciplinary foundation allows me to move fluidly between strategy and execution, shaping vision while maintaining discipline in design systems and production workflows.

Focus

My current focus explores the intersection of editorial structure and scalable brand storytelling. Through projects like FOCUS+, I examine how traditional publishing frameworks can evolve into hybrid narrative systems that integrate print, digital, and motion into a cohesive experience.

I’m interested in opportunities where creative direction extends beyond aesthetics, where systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and narrative clarity shape how brands communicate and scale.
